Run! Rock! Read!
This family friendly event features both a 5K and 10K race to kick off Yamhill’s 5th Annual Beverly Cleary Literacy Celebration, held in honor of the beloved children’s book author who spent her early childhood in Yamhill. Take in the beautiful scenic vistas of the Yamhill-Carlton wine country as you race from the heart of Downtown Yamhill into the surrounding farmland.
Grab some swag by catching up with “Running Rocker” Jason Moore as he shreds on an electric guitar while keeping an 8-minute mile pace -- and takes song requests along the route of the 5K race!
Bring your four-legged friends! Free specialty dog treats courtesy Source Farms provided.
Volunteers will take good care of you along the route with well-organized guidance and help/hydration stations.
If you're up for the challenge, register for both races!
Start Times:
- 10K: 8:30 a.m. (7:30 - 8:00 a.m. check-in)
