    Named after the springtime flower that grows in abundance along the winding bends of the Salamonie River, the Bloodroot 50K / 8 Mile provides runners the only early fall 50K in Northeast Indiana.  The event includes both an 8 mile one-loop race and a 50K four-loop race. 

    Start Location: Both distances start at the Lost Bridge East pavilion at Salamonie Lake State Park.  This is located off W 400 S near the Lost Bridge East boat ramp parking lot.

    Start Time: Both distances start at 7:30am

    Cutoff: Both distances will have an 8-hour cutoff to finish

    Trail Description: Wander through fields and woods to Mount Etna SRA and then return along the beautiful bluffs overlooking the lake.  The Bloodroot Trail is of moderate difficulty, with some hills and valleys, and is very well marked.

    Price Includes: SWAG, awards for top Male & Female finishers, fully stocked aid stations, accurate time, a great course, and finishers medal!

    Race Day Check-in: Begins 1-hour before race start time at the Lost Bridge East pavilion at Salamonie Lake.

    Refunds:  No refunds will be offered.  If you transfer your bib to another runner, please contact us with the new runner's information ASAP.
