The Bellevue Area Optimist Club was started by long-time Optimist Michael Woodward. Michael spent 46 years as a member of Optimist Clubs in Indiana, and when he moved to Bellevue, he began working right away to get a club started. The Bellevue Club launched in 2021. Michael passed away on September 30, 2023. His eternal optimism, perseverance and the many years he spent serving young people in so many ways has left an indelible mark on our hearts and community.

We invite you to join us as we remember Mike and his contributions. We will run / walk in his honor, and hope to raise funds for youth programs in the Bellevue Area.

This is a fun, scenic 5K run to be held the morning of Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Edwin Warner Park, located on the west side of Nashville in the Bellevue Community.

For the love of all that is good and moisture wicking...
