Goal and Spirit of the Catskill Spring Rush & 5k
The Catskill High School Sports Marketing class with the Business Club has partnered with the local municipalities, organizations, businesses, parents, and friends to sponsor the 15th annual Spring Rush trathlon. With friendlier pricing and activities for all types of racers, it's better than ever to come out and participate in the Catskill Spring Rush!
This is a school based exercise that brings reality to education in our classroom.
Families, businesses, and competitors may enjoy the warmth of Catskill. The Rush is a fun race where many people may participate!
One time will be kept for your score, no split times will be kept. Individuals and teams are encouraged to keep individual times for fun.
Through the cooperative efforts of the students, school, community, and sponsors this event will continue to grow as a mainstay tradition in Catskill.
Registration before June 1st will be $40.
Event details and schedule
The Rush
I. 2.25 Mile Run-Walk
The first leg will take you from the track at Catskill High School through historic Catskill. The route will follow a residential route.
II. 10 Mile Bike
The bike route will start at the school waterfront and will follow winding roads alongside creek vistas, up and down rolling hills.
III. Kayak or Canoe
The last leg of the race starts at the school waterfront. The route follows the creek to the Point and back. A Rush boat will manage the turn.
You're Invited!
Lunch will be offered at the school along with music played by the Catskill Exclusive DJ Service. Only participants who pre-register will be guaranteed a shirt.
Trophies will be rewarded to:
Rush Cup-First Place
Iron Man & Woman-First Place
Teams-First Place
Medals will be rewarded to:Iron Man & Woman-1st through 5th place
Team-1st, 2nd, & 3rd
Under 150 total age (men & women)
Over 150 total age (men & women)
Mixed team (under & over 150)
Age Categories:19 & Under 30-39 50-59 70 & up
20-29 40-49 60-69
This event is for fun, so split times will not be kept. Volunteers will be maintaining times, therefor official completion times may not be accurate.
