SNOW MUCH FUN to be had in the winter.

    WE ARE NOW USATRI CERTIFIED!!!

Go to www.usatriathlon.org and become a member. We are looking forward to big things with winter triathlons and making them a big part of the Triathlon family.

Why let winter slow your roll with triathlons? Embrace the new season and come out and experience something cool!

A sprint distance triathlon that is Michigan's first and we are now on our 3rd year! This winter triathlon! Utilizes the breathtaking location of Treetops resorts Ski Area, our race will consist of cross-country skiing, Fat tire biking and trail run in the snow. You can do it solo single discipline or a relay for 2 or 3 people and have a snowball amount of fun!

Sprint distance Winter triathlon: 5k Cross country Ski (classic only please), 10k Fat tire bike, 5k Trail run.

Aid station: At transition and at the crossing where the xc and run both cross over. We will have hot Gatorade (it is tasty-try it-trust me), regular temperature Gatorade, and granola bars.

    Awards:

5-year age group Male and Female awards (Must be 18 years of age or older to participate in this event).

Group awards are based on who crosses first and is not dependent on gender or age of the team. You are allowed to have a mixed team (must be 18 and older to be part of a group or the event). (you will want to email mrinck2@gmail.com to let me know who is in the group and we will get them added-each member needs to be part of USATRI and show proof of membership).

Please note we have new changes coming through and we will update everyone on what amazing things we will have to offer for this race. Keep checking back for updates and changes and I will email with every new update.

Weather:  Weather or not we have Snow, we will have this race! 2023 was looking weird but we had a great day and great snow. But for those who wonder, if we have no snow, we change the XC ski to a run and it will be a run/bike/run. We will cancel the race if the conditions become unsafe and the police advise people to stay off the roads. We may also cancel if treetop's location chooses. If the race is canceled, we will do our best to change the time or date of the race to accommodate, a full refund will not be given (timer wants to get paid and we understand, they are a business), but we will refund as much as we can based on the cost of the race and our sponsor donations.

Pre-Race: You can practice the course for free and I think the restaurants will be hosting a special that evening=more details to come.
