Tanglewood Nature Center is excited to invite trail-goers back to Run For The Hills on Saturday, July 22nd, 2023!

This race offers two courses: 

5K: For individuals or families who like climbing hills, crossing creeks, and spotting wildlife

10K: For runners and hikers seeking more — more elevation gain, more views, more technical trail sections — the 10k course leads you up to Tanglewood's highest point overlooking the Chemung River, drops you down, and weaves you through all of Tanglewood's meadows and forests

All proceeds support Tanglewood’s efforts to fulfill its mission by maintaining over ten miles of free, public access trails, offering educational programming for children and adults, providing homes in its exhibits for more than 40 native and exotic animals, and welcoming over 35,000 visitors a year. 

This race will have two start waves:

10k — Wave 1 — 8:00 am

5k  —Wave 2 — 8:05 am

*Timed by Falcon Race Timing

*Prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place female and male finishers in both 5k and 10k distances. 

Register by June 28th to guarantee an event t-shirt in the size of your choice.
