    Join us for the first Fairfield HSA COLOR Run/Walk!

    An event for anyone who wants to run, walk, or stroll (baby strollers and wheelchairs welcome) to support the children of the Fairfield Public Schools!

    Come out and join the fun! Enjoy a good time with friends, music, inflatables, foods trucks, and more!

    Race Info

    - Check-in starts at 9:00 am

    - Register by March 1, 2024 to guarantee your Color Run shirt.

    - Registration includes white t-shirt, sunglasses and pack of color powder! (Limited supplies available after March 1, 2024)

    - Children 1 and under are free and should register.  Free registration does not include white t-shirt , sunglasses, or pack of color powder.

    Gear Check

    Remember to check the weather and dress accordingly for the event. There is a rain date (March 24, 2024) if heavy rain is expected but March is unpredictable! The weather can be warm or cold (wear a long sleeve shirt or hoodie underneath your color run t-shirt).

    You might want to bring a towel as this can get messy!

    FAQ

    What happens on the day? 

    There will be a course approximately 1 mile.  As you run/walk color powder will be thrown at you. There will be obstacles throughout.  Before and after there will be food trucks and inflatables.

    How does my child fundraise? 

    Using the sponsorship form, students are asked to seek sponsorship donations from family, and friends.  (Insert link to pledge sheet to website)

    Sponsorship forms can be turned in the day of the run/walk.

    What is the Fundraising Prize? 

    The student who collects the most pledges will receive a $500 amazon gift card.

    How do I volunteer on the day? 

    We will be seeking parent volunteers to assist on the day of to help with check in and man stations around the course to throw color.  Please keep a look out for a sign up genius.

    Is the Color Safe? 

    The colors are made with high quality cornstarch, food dyes and baking soda. All materials are 100% FD&C and/or D&C approved.  

    Does Color Powder contain Gluten or other common allergens?

    Color powder is gluten free and does not contain dairy, nuts, wheat, soy or other common allergens.  Although it is made from all food safe ingredients, it is not created in a food safe facility and is not intended for human consumption.

    Is Color Powder harmful if you inhale it?

    Although all the materials are food grade we do not recommend inhaling large quantities of color powder.  Participants should aim for the chest area.

    Anyone who has asthma, is allergic to any of the ingredients or has any respiratory issues should exercise caution when participating in color powder events.

    Does Color Powder stain clothing?

    100% cotton clothing is recommended.  The color powder washes out of most clothing but can stain some materials. It is recommended to remove excess powder from clothing before washing and/or applying water.
